Home-Within-a-Home Society

Home-Within-a-Home society is a provincially funded and certified agency in Edmonton. It operates under the Department of Persons with Developmental Disabilities of the Government of Alberta. Working out of our home, we organize and monitor a program for Alexis that seeks to provide her with the best life we can.

Our Hiring Policy

We hire part-time Developmental Assistants who are prepared to carry out a rewarding program of activities with an attractive and sociable young woman with multiple challenges.

Daily range of motion, neuromuscular stimulation and standing frame.
Assistance with personal care needs: ceiling lift is used for transfers.
Accompany her on community outings: e.g. IMax shows, museums, movies, walks, bowling, restaurants, bar karaoke.
Treat her with respect; make her life worth living, enjoy her and learn from the opportunity to work with her.
